Give us your top 3 career highlights so far?
It’s hard to narrow it down as there have been so many unforgettable moments, but a few stand out as truly defining. One was creating the Clarks & New York campaign which included a long-form documentary, an ambitious project that brought together two seemingly distant worlds: a heritage British footwear brand based in Somerset and the heart of East Coast hip-hop culture. To have shot with legends like Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan and street art icon Futura was surreal.
Another unforgettable moment was collaborating with Liam Gallagher, and not just because I am a huge Oasis fan. We brought back an archival Clarks silhouette in his honour, and it was every bit as mad and brilliant as you’d expect. His wild energy, matched with his deep affection for the brand, was incredible to be part of.
Lastly, I’m incredibly proud of what the close-knit team and I achieved at Clarks Originals during my time there. Together, we didn’t just market shoes, we reignited a cultural movement, repositioning the brand and making it relevant again in ways that felt authentic, fresh and deeply rooted in storytelling. That transformation means the world to me.
What piece of work (campaign or otherwise) are you most proud of?
As I mentioned, the Clarks & New York project holds a special place in my heart. It was truly a labour of love…every frame, every asset, every decision came from a place of deep respect and passion. What we created wasn’t just a campaign, it was a love letter. The idea that a shoemaker from Somerset could become entwined with the DNA of New York hip-hop culture is still something I struggle to wrap my head around. It’s a reminder that great stories are everywhere, you just need to dig deep enough to find them.
You’ve worked in-house and in-agency as a senior creative, what do you think’s key to the best client-agency relationships?
For me, it all comes down to openness, honesty, and the willingness to collaborate. I’m a huge believer in the power of creative partnerships. When people feel safe enough to voice their opinions and take risks, magic happens. The best ideas often come from the most unexpected places, so the most valuable thing anyone in the room can do is listen. Ego out. Curiosity in.
Do you have a go-to source for the latest campaign and industry news?
I gather insights and inspiration from everywhere…social media, LinkedIn, curated platforms like Creative Boom and Design Week. But I also believe strongly in disconnecting from the digital and immersing myself in the physical world. I find energy and inspiration in galleries, museums, and IRL creative events. Bristol is brilliant for that. I’ve even had the terrifying honour of being on stage myself, which was equal parts nerve-racking and exhilarating.
What campaign or marketing activation do you wish you’d been a part of?
Without a doubt, the legendary Sony Bravia ‘Balls’ ad that Fallon created to launch the Sony Bravia LCD TV in 2005. Shot entirely in-camera and on location, it still stuns me with its simplicity and beauty. In a world dominated by CGI and post-production, there’s something deeply romantic about the raw, physical artistry of that campaign. I’m drawn to work that feels tangible and real, where you can feel the craft in every frame. That level of authenticity is what I strive for in everything I do. Plus, the song choice of José González’s “Heartbeats” was the icing on the cake.
What would you like to bring to saintnicks during your time here?
I’m excited to bring a different perspective to the team. My career has been anything but conventional, Clarks isn’t your typical brand, and working there taught me how to be truly resourceful. It pushed me to dig deeper, to understand a brand’s soul, and to uncover creative gold in unexpected places.
I’m also incredibly passionate about mentoring and helping others shine. Some of my proudest moments have come not just from the work I’ve led, but from watching others grow and thrive with a little guidance and support.
How do you like to spend your time when you’re not working?
I’m a big people-person and love soaking up all that Bristol has to offer whether it’s talks, gigs, art shows, and everything in between. When I’m not out and about in the city, you’ll usually find me off-grid with my girlfriend Kim and our amazing sausage dog, Frankie, in our campervan. We love the coast, the beach, and any excuse to slow down and breathe in some fresh sea air.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. The Bristol music scene is what first drew me here years ago, and it still fuels me today. You’ll often find me at festivals or small local gigs, soaking up that live energy.
To round things off, where’s Bristol’s best hidden gem?
There are loads of little treasures in this city, but one that really took me by surprise recently was a restaurant in Montpelier called Wangs. It absolutely blew my mind. Trust me, you’ll want to order everything on the menu. Every single dish is unreal. Honestly, it’s the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite and just say “wow.”
