Job description

We are seeking a competent, dynamic and motivated Technical Director to join the Studio.

We’re a campaign, content and creative agency. Working out of our Bristol agency, you will source, experiment and implement technical solutions across all web, mobile, AI & VR environments, across a broad range of clients. We’re an experienced team, with consistent client growth – we’re looking for new talent.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced technical director to deliver highly effective digital experiences across a strong client base. You will define, iterate and implement new technical solutions across all digital environments, playing a key role in the continued success of the agency.


As Technical Director you’ll play lead by identifying solutions across all projects, with an equal B2B/B2C mix of clients. Across web and mobile based platforms, you will drive engagement using the latest and emerging technologies.

You’ll work alongside a team of creatives, designers, user experience, and project managers and our specialist partners. You will source, test, plan and specify the technology for the team to work with. You will be designing technical solutions for client problems by defining functional specifications and systems architectures, alongside the UX function.

At key project stages you will be the technical lead in pitches and review and approve quotes generated by the accounts team.

Working with the Head of Digital, you will help to review processes and ensure all are resilient and future-proofed. You lead the programme research and development projects that will expand our knowledge and capability, allowing us to work on Proof of Concepts or new client services.

Senior Digital Producer

You are responsible for the coordination and delivery of all digital media design and build projects moving through the agency. You ensure the smooth operation and management of resources, while acting as the enabler between the UX, creative, developer, strategy and accounts teams. You bring people together to provide clients with consistently high-quality digital experiences. 


Responsible for… 

  • Running digital projects through their entire lifecycle, from discovery and requirement capturing; planning and strategy; concepting and designing; building and testing; to setting live
  • Managing risk, quality control and sign-off along the entire project delivery process, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met every time
  • Your role is internal and external-focused, with the expectation to lead client-facing discussions at key project stages
  • Delivering on a variety of web design and development projects from websites, microsites, emails, digital media and landing pages. And consistently exceeding clients’ expectations
  • Having acute attention to detail and providing accounts team members with client-ready documents that do not require further modification
  • You will be well versed in different content management systems, with a working knowledge of Agile SCRUM principles
  • Ensuring that all work that is being produced is within brand guidelines and has been Quality Assured
  • Constantly reviewing project resources, delegating appropriately, and providing ongoing analysis on whether they meet the demands of the project
  • In consultation with the account teams, to deliver and oversee each project’s financial budget, notifying stakeholders of key cost implications and changes to budget, ensuring profitability and profit margin is delivered across all digital projects
  • Increase the mix of digital business across our client portfolio by supporting the account teams in driving revenue growth and identifying business development opportunities; also acting as part of pitch team as required
  • Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keeping everyone informed along the way, and translating technical terminology to non-digital stakeholders
  • Planning, tracking and measuring the end results of each project in the form of project reports to ensure there is a feedback-loop from clients and internal staff to continuously improve our processes
  • Managing all digital project management tools including Trello and Redmine, while always looking to improve efficiencies, making suggestions for upgrades where appropriate

  • Process and technical understanding are a given; but success in this role requires confidence and flexibility to experiment with and enhance project processes, ways of working and approach to best meet client needs
