saintnicks is a strategic creative agency and is seeking an experienced and ambitious Front-End Developer.

This is a unique opportunity to join a progressive independent creative agency and become a key player in our growing team, it’s a genuine opportunity to accelerate your progression within a creative and dynamic environment.

Working out of our Bristol office, the digital team provide strategy, planning, user experience, design, development and ongoing support to our clients. This role will be tasked with creating a range of digital experiences including; enterprise class websites, progressive web apps, and future-proofed solutions (voice apps, chat bots).

You will be a passionate front-end developer with a minimum of 4 years’ experience and embrace working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a finger on the pulse when it comes to emerging technologies.


  • You will be expected to contribute opinions and ideas for applying new and emerging technologies and ways of working; understand technical problems; design, code and manage the solutions. We need positive can-do attitudes, people who are self-starters and take accountability for what they do.
  • From day one you’ll be expected to lead a wide variety of build projects across a diverse client base, translating design concepts into digital experiences. You’ll apply the latest technologies, aim to push boundaries and exceed the demands of our clients.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and experienced in both agile and waterfall development methodologies, your key tasks will focus on the development of responsive websites, updates and modifications to existing sites, and quality assurance testing to deliver best practice experiences and functionality.
  • You will be comfortable communicating, presenting and explaining your solutions to internal teams and can respond to any technical questions that may arise.
  • You will be expected to contribute to the wider agency’s knowledge of emerging technologies and to share your enthusiasm and with the agency and the solutions developed on behalf of our clients.
  • As part of the role you will be required to continually maintain and improve our agency website and manage the development requirements of our current website maintenance contacts for several of our retained clients.
  • We ask you to take responsibility for your own learning and career development by participating in learning events, undertaking self-learning and positively contributing to your performance management requirements.
  • Become an integral member of the digital team by ensuring code quality and functionality are well tested (unit tests, bespoke tests, cross browser and cross platform) before presentation to the client and to ensure bugs are fixed in a timely manner.


  • A min of 4 years’ experience (ideally at an agency) in building websites and a good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, and WordPress. Experienced in developing mobile first websites. Knowledge of other programming languages and any experience of content management systems such as Craft, WordPress, Umbraco, Magento, and Joomla would be advantageous as well as experience of build tool systems such as Composer and Gulp.
  • Experience of developing highly accessible sites and good knowledge of SEO principles.
  • Solid experience of quality assurance testing across multiple browsers and devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Experience with Git and related methodologies.
  • Be able to demonstrate advanced analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills along with strong related technical skills, and a history of successfully operating as part of a team that organises, plans, and executes large-scale projects or assignments from vision to implementation.
  • A sense of pride in your performance and self-motivated. A critical thinker and with strong hand-coding skills that wants to work across a wide range projects where creativity and new ideas are welcomed.
  • You will be a team player, capable of providing time quotations for work and can support the production of IA/UX and Technical Specifications for projects by providing technical guidance where required.

Technical Director

Job description

We are seeking a competent, dynamic and motivated Technical Director to join the Studio.

We’re a campaign, content and creative agency. Working out of our Bristol agency, you will source, experiment and implement technical solutions across all web, mobile, AI & VR environments, across a broad range of clients. We’re an experienced team, with consistent client growth – we’re looking for new talent.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced technical director to deliver highly effective digital experiences across a strong client base. You will define, iterate and implement new technical solutions across all digital environments, playing a key role in the continued success of the agency.


As Technical Director you’ll play lead by identifying solutions across all projects, with an equal B2B/B2C mix of clients. Across web and mobile based platforms, you will drive engagement using the latest and emerging technologies.

You’ll work alongside a team of creatives, designers, user experience, and project managers and our specialist partners. You will source, test, plan and specify the technology for the team to work with. You will be designing technical solutions for client problems by defining functional specifications and systems architectures, alongside the UX function.

At key project stages you will be the technical lead in pitches and review and approve quotes generated by the accounts team.

Working with the Head of Digital, you will help to review processes and ensure all are resilient and future-proofed. You lead the programme research and development projects that will expand our knowledge and capability, allowing us to work on Proof of Concepts or new client services.


  • Constantly up to date with the latest technologies, you will understand the possibilities of new and emerging platforms & stacks as they evolve and grow
  • You will enjoy working in collaboration with the creative team to fully realise each other’s ideas
  • You’ll have excellent communication skills and be a creative solution orientated thinker that’s driven by finding the solution to complex challenges
  • You’ll enjoy working within a small team, each doing their part to drive successful results that they’ll be proud of
  • Experienced across multiple platforms (web and mobile) exposure across AI or VR would helpful
