What attracted you to the role at saintnicks?
Definitely the diverse client base and the fact saintnicks is an integrated agency. Variety is the spice of life and has been my experience since joining agency side. That partnered with a fun and clever bunch of people – what could go wrong?
How do you stay up to date with all the latest in the marketing world?
Honestly not trying to justify my screen time here (promise), but Instagram & TikTok are a great source of new trends and campaigns. I also follow industry experts on LinkedIn, stay up to date with The Drum and attend Bristol Creative Industries talks – they offer some brilliant support and workshops for design and creative agencies in and around Bristol.
What campaign or marketing activation do you wish you’d been a part of?
Off the top of my head – the Michael CeraVe Superbowl campaign. Oh, so wonderfully random and although seemingly ridiculous, successful in breaking through the overwhelming noise and clutter of Superbowl season. In a nutshell – effective influencer strategy and collaboration. Side note – ‘Juno’ is the best movie ever.
What would you like to bring to saintnicks during your time here?
Strategic business thinking to help our clients achieve the most value possible with their budgets, creating not just long-term value for them, but for saintnicks as an agency too. That, and being a forever willing Hart’s partner in crime. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s one of Bristol’s best artisan bakeries and just so happens to be opposite saintnicks HQ.
With a background in content marketing, what’s your favourite past piece of work?
Producing ‘The Arts of Orthodontics ‘docuseries and supporting integrated campaign, which showcased top, Invisalign orthodontists’ research. Many hats were worn, much experience gained.
How do you like to spend your time when you’re not working?
Any craft / art class – write my name down. That and trying to fit in exercise to counteract my love of cooking and good food. Bristol definitely has a lot to offer on that front!
To round things off, where’s Bristol’s best hidden gem?
Bokman. And no, not just because I am Springbok fan. Hey, if it’s good enough for Jay Rayner… Think modern Korean cooking with big plates that are meant to be shared. As it should be.
