Giving back time
The Challenge
Make the Post Office stand out. For brokers, the Post Office (fulfilled by Bank of Ireland) is right up there with the market leaders. Good products and best-in-class service, all wrapped up in heritage that no-one else can get close to. But when it comes to recognition, they’re not delivering.
The Leap
Turns out time’s the real hero, not money. This busy market is drowning in beige, where the products themselves offer little differentiation. This opened up a huge opportunity, to stand out and offer service with a difference – and make the most of brokers’ most precious asset: time.
The Work
Time’s up, beige. The Post Office is blessed with a unique heritage. Combined with market-leading standards of service, we had something genuinely different to say.
‘Time well spent’ was our overarching position, enabling us to tee up service standards with ‘No time for…’, while products were announced with ‘It’s time for…’ Visually, riffing on the unequivocal Britishness of the brand gave us a playful, bold style. Bursting with quirk and character, the creative set us miles apart from anything else in the beige.
A playful visual style delivers a warm, engaging welcome online. Quintessential British charm came through in every execution.
Shifting the message focusses on what the brand enables, rather than what it avoids.
