Health, nutrition and sustainable organic farming have been at the heart of HiPP’s business since they made their family farm fully organic 65 years ago.

The business dates all the way back to 1899, when Joseph Hipp’s wife – a baker from southern Germany – decided to use her culinary skills to create a natural, rusk-based cereal to fill the gap between breast milk and ‘real food’.

Their twins thrived on her nutritious creations – as did their next five children, and the generations that followed. In 1956, Joseph’s son Georg converted the family farm to become fully organic farming – HiPP products have lived by this ethos ever since.

HiPP is still run by the family today, and sustainable farming remains at the core of the business. HiPP products are sold in 57 countries worldwide; with a network of more than 8,000 carefully selected farmers, it is the world’s largest processor of organic raw materials.
