Our digital team is seeking a competent, dynamic and motivated Junior Developer to join the team.

We’re a campaign, content and creative agency with offices in Bristol and London. Working out of our Bristol agency, you will be a key part of the development team responsible for building and maintaining multiple websites across a broad range of clients. We’re a young agency, with a great deal of experience and consistent, sustained client and revenue growth; we’re looking for talent.

The Role

  • From day one you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of build projects across a diverse client base, including websites, landing pages, emails and rich media, translating designs into functional digital experiences
  • You’ll be part of a dedicated team where some of your tasks will include the development of responsive websites, updates and modifications to existing sites, user testing and dealing with the odd client from time to time
  • Working alongside talented development and design teams in both agile and waterfall development methodologies, you will be assisting in designing technical solutions for client problems by defining functional specifications and systems architectures, alongside UX
  • Working cross-functionally, supporting the Technical Director, but also liaising with other teams in the business over technical issues and best practice
  • You will be expected to contribute to the wider agency’s knowledge of new technology and to share your enthusiasm and insight of this channel with the agency

Person Specification

You will be a really passionate developer with a strong understanding of the wider digital world, looking for a great opportunity to join a progressive independent agency, to contribute to its future and to grow and develop your role within the company.

  • Experience in building websites and a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, and WordPress. Knowledge of PHP is a bonus

Job description

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our fun and growing team. Your prime responsibility is the day to day running of the agency finances and overseeing the financial health of the agency.

You will work closely with the Directors the client services team and supported by our accountant to ensure the financial processes and administration are adhered to and we maintain accurate financial records, tax returns and management accounts.

The ideal candidate will have gained significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a marketing, design or media agenc,y or a fast-paced service/ consultancy environment. A meticulous attention to detail, trustworthy and high in integrity is the most sought-after attributes in this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including payroll, invoicing, ledgers and sales and purchase invoices.
  • Manage the agency financial systems eg Sage, Bank, and Synergist (job costing and project management system) to ensure that are all are updated, reconciled and integrated.
  • Making payments for all purchase invoices and ensure that these are reconciled and approved prior to payments being made.
  • Working with the account team to ensure forecast and monthly invoicing and targets are achieved. Ensure these are reconciled with Sage, Synergist etc.
  • Work with the account team to ensure all monthly invoicing is accurate and processed in time with month end deadlines. Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner, chasing invoices to ensure payment in an agreed timescale.
  • Preparation of monthly management account pack, cash flow projections and support forecasting and updated annual budgets on monthly basis.
  • Oversee and provide the monthly payroll information to outsourced payroll company and manage the pension posting & payments
  • Monthly reconciliation of petty cash, credit card, employee expenses, purchases, travel etc. are all accurately recorded.
  • Establish relationships within client accounts departments to manage the credit control, send invoices, provide statements and reminders etc., escalate to the account team as required.
  • Liaison with Accountant for the preparations of the annual end of year accounts and annual VAT return.
  • Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports and financial reporting as requested by the management team ego cash flow projections, profitability.
