We’re a campaign, content and creative agency with offices in Bristol and London, looking for our next significant creative hire to bring new heavyweight creative input to the team. You will be an experienced creative with a strong understanding of the wider digital world and help to develop and shape the future of the agency.

Person specification

With at least 9 years’ experience, you will be used to developing idea-driven concepts, campaigns and direction for a range of B2B and B2C brands, working across multiple platforms on and off line.

Through your experience and design pedigree, you will be able to lead and inspire a team… and fly solo when you need to. From campaign and concept development to detailed art direction, you will be well versed in delivery through digital channels. Confident working with UX and content marketing specialists, you’ll know your way around print media as well as digital display.

You will be a starter and a finisher – able to see campaigns through from concept to delivery. An impact player, great at inspiring your team and even better with clients, handling detailed design projects and big campaign pitches.

Job description

Our digital team is seeking a competent, dynamic and motivated Junior Developer to join the team.

We’re a campaign, content and creative agency with offices in Bristol and London. Working out of our Bristol agency, you will be a key part of the development team responsible for building and maintaining multiple websites across a broad range of clients. We’re a young agency, with a great deal of experience and consistent, sustained client and revenue growth; we’re looking for talent.

The Role

  • From day one you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of build projects across a diverse client base, including websites, landing pages, emails and rich media, translating designs into functional digital experiences
  • You’ll be part of a dedicated team where some of your tasks will include the development of responsive websites, updates and modifications to existing sites, user testing and dealing with the odd client from time to time
  • Working alongside talented development and design teams in both agile and waterfall development methodologies, you will be assisting in designing technical solutions for client problems by defining functional specifications and systems architectures, alongside UX
  • Working cross-functionally, supporting the Technical Director, but also liaising with other teams in the business over technical issues and best practice
  • You will be expected to contribute to the wider agency’s knowledge of new technology and to share your enthusiasm and insight of this channel with the agency
  • You’ll make a decent cup of tea, be a good communicator and enjoy the company of those around you

Person Specification

You will be a really passionate developer with a strong understanding of the wider digital world, looking for a great opportunity to join a progressive independent agency, to contribute to its future and to grow and develop your role within the company.

  • Experience in building websites and a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, and WordPress. Knowledge of PHP is a bonus
  • The ability to prioritise and multitask; you’ll be someone who is self-organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated fast learner with strong hand-coding skills that wants to work on innovative and exciting projects where creativity and new ideas are welcomed
  • An eye for design detail, a passion for digital, and a keen desire to play a key role within this growing team and business
  • Experience of quality assurance testing across multiple browsers and devices, including smartphones and tablets
  • An interest in learning new technologies, skills and methodologies from both internal knowledge sharing and external training/courses
  • Excellent communication skills, in enable productive conversations with technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
